Air cargo 

• Leaves from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

• Use it to send commercial shipments.

• Minimum weight requirement for air cargo is 45 kg

Sea Cargo

• Every ocean shipment first travels overland to Kolkata, Haldia or Visakhapatnam in India before it reaches a vessel.

• Total sea transit usually runs 15 to 40 days, including 3 to 7 days of road transport between Nepal and the port. We choose the port by cost and urgency. 

• The Kathmandu to Kolkata road leg can take 2 to 4 days in good conditions, and random container scans at Haldia can add 3 to 5 days if documents are not ready.

Worked example: a 60 x 50 x 40 cm box weighing 10 kg.

• Volume: 60 x 50 x 40 = 120,000 cm3

• Express courier, divide by 5,000: billed as 24 kg

• Air cargo, divide by 6,000: billed as 20 kg

Documents and customs for worldwide shipments 

• A customs declaration listing value, quantity, and country of origin is required before goods clear customs.

• A packing list with the value of each item.

• Receiver's full address and phone number.

• Business shipments: PAN or VAT registration and a commercial invoice with HS codes.

• Your ID copy. 

Our team prepares the paperwork for courier shipments and checks it before cargo leaves. 

What you cannot send 

• Cash. Sending cash or currency by courier is not allowed.

• Old objects. Exporting antiques needs certification from the Department of Archaeology, and objects over 100 years old cannot be exported.

• Liquids, and thangka, metal statues and wood carvings. Liquids are a common reason for refusal, and handicrafts like these follow restricted-item rules.

• Drugs, weapons, explosives and protected wildlife products.
